Mamma Wisdom of the Week
Since Gavin is usually a late riser, I decided to draw out all of his Morning Routine for him. That way he can refer to them and know exactly what he needed to do in order to get moving a little faster. So far it has been helping!

Ethan's Loose Tooth #2
Woke up to Ethan knocking on my door this morning being super freaked out. Apparently, he wiggled his tooth loose, saw blood and scared himself. After all that was taken care of, then the excitement kicked in as he headed to school.
That night, the tooth fairy decided to be more generous and left him four quarters since the tooth fairy female side kick thought we were being too cheapo. With the tooth, we also found a bracelet and the sweetest handwritten note saying,
"Dear Tooth Fairy,
Thank you for the money so so so much.
Love Ethan
I love you Tooth Fairy."
Of course Ethan was super excited to get the money, but his logical mind started asking questions whether the Tooth Fairy is real or not. And "If Santa and the Easter Bunny isn't real, how can the Tooth Fairy be real?" Not sure if we will get very far with this one.

Got up and got all ready for BSF only to wake Ethan up to find that he has a low grade fever. I guess we're home bound today. So bummed!

Had a bonfire with the boys tonight and Kaika spotted two copperhead snakes behind our house. It was pretty freaky!

BSF & MOPS 2015
Fall schedule is underway. BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) has started on Wednesday and we will be studying the Book of Revelation which I'm super excited about. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) has also started and this year I'm helping out in Publication instead of heading up the discussion group again. Here are some of the advertisement I've done:

Gavin's Preschool
At Meet & Greet with the director and his teachers
Gavin was off to his first day of preschool without any fears or anxiety at all. But then again I'm not surprise, we're talking about a kid who just walks right into a pool without any floaties on even though he can't swim. It's funny how our two boys are totally different in that aspect. Anyway, I came home to a quiet house and got to spend some time journaling - something I've been wanting to do but haven't done since Spring. It was so good for the soul to have a solid time with the Lord again without the constant distraction. It was a quick, but glorious 2-1/2 hours!!!
I hurried to Gavin's school for pick up filled with excitement to hear about his day and that's when all hell broke loose. The whole entire way home, he kept screaming "I'm hungry!" over and over again. Then proceeded to throw himself on the floor at home and have a complete melt down for the next HOUR! Even though lunch was on the table ready for him, he refused to eat and continued on with his crazy possessed way. It.was.just.awful!!! These past three weeks has been tough all around: Brian's crazy work schedule before and after vacation and as I mentioned before, the boys weren't much helpful either. I was feeling completely overwhelmed and just suffocated by life and this drama was the last I could handle. The last time something like this has happened was in this post December last year. Thankfully at the end of it all, the Holy Spirit came upon us with peace as I (cried) and prayed over us just because I didn't know what else to do. And I think he somewhat understood the magnitude of what took place and what he did. Praying that we would out of this stage soon! We're getting there...I think.

Brian's Birthday
To the best guy we know!!! Happy Birthday!
We couldn't get a sitter that night, but thankfully were able to do a date lunch and a movie the next day after church. Thanks so much Kristy!

Ethan's 1st Grade
The week we were at the wedding, Ethan had missed the Welcome Walk (where the teacher comes to our house to let introduce herself)and also the school supplies drop off (how he finds out his classroom). So he was pretty nervous about the whole first day thing. Thankfully my sweet friend from MOPS asked her husband who is Ethan's assistant principal to do us a huge favor. He sent a picture of his teacher, Mrs. Giostra and a video tour of exactly where he needed to go. That helped with the first day of school jitters and made him super excited to go!
Caitlyn is in the same class and same table as Ethan again which is a good and bad thing. Last year, they saw each other 6x/week (5 days at school and 1 day at church) that it became a love/hate relationship. So, this year Ethan decided to take things into his own hand and had a serious conversation with her that went something along the line of "please be nice to me and I will be nice to you." And they made a deal!

Dana Point, California
The boys did SO well on the double family reunion trips last month that I came to California with the same great expectations. But I guess that's where I went wrong. Sadly expectations + three hours time change for 6 days = Big Disaster! The boys were going to bed late & getting up early and just being at their absolutely worse. They were terrible at listening, obeying and constantly annoying each other nonstop. Did I mention they were just LOUD all the time, too?! (Unfortunately we realized the day before we left to come home that we had forgotten the ear plugs). The only time it was peaceful was the one and a half day that we hit the beach. Brian and I were definitely short on sleep (and patience) so that didn't help. It was probably the most stressful vacation we've had. EVER!
Anyway, California's weather was beautiful and the blue Pacific Ocean totally reminded me of Hawaii. Ryan and Su's wedding was great and we were so glad we could be a part of it. But were we also glad to be home so the boys can have some separation from each other and us from them too!
