Knowing Brian was having a rough week with a work situation, our friend Taye from small group showed up at our front door with three cheesecakes from Cheesecake Factory and an encouraging card.  It was so thoughtful and we were so touched!

What a glorious 70 degree day!  Went to a job interview this morning and took Kaika for a walk this afternoon.  It truly lifted my spirit.

Today, I volunteered to help in Gavin's class (math and science pumpkin stations) and after two hours, I left there exhausted.  Teaching is definitely not my gift.

Super fun date night with Brian at Iron Age (an all you can eat Korean Steak House) and then we strolled around Georgetown in DC.  What a gorgeous night!

Applied for my first job in 9 years today!  So proud of myself.  And now I wait.  #making it happen

Ethan started the after school pottery class today and loved it!  He was beaming when I picked him up.

Teacher's work day = no school for the boys, which means we get to hang out today.  Excited to have them home so we could sleep in and play!

So, so, so thankful Brian's work trip to Oregon got cancelled this week!  None of us was ready for him to leave again.  Ethan said, "We can't live without you for a whole week!"

Walked into the boys' conversation tonight while they were showering and heard Ethan said, "Gavin, I will always love you, ok?  I will always love you!!"  It was the sweetest thing...it melted my heart!

Decided to keep Ethan home today...stomachache and a headache.  His body is fighting something for sure.

Date night goal: try something new!  Tonight's plan: wings at Buffalo Wing Factory and then onto the Bungalows to play darts/pool.

Had a night mare about going to the eye doctor today.  Hopefully this time I can just get in and get out with a prescription!  And then onto getting a haircut.

I decided to switch Gavin's school days to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Too many Monday holidays this year.

Ethan was super nervous for his first basketball game today.  We prayed for the Lord's confidence and he ended up scoring 4 baskets.  Way to go Ethan!
