Virginia Fall

I've heard of people saying that the East Coast Fall foliage is quite a sight and now having been here, I would say they're right.  It is absolutely spectacular and nothing like I've ever experienced before!!!  I love how we don't even have to drive anywhere to see it because the whole state is seriously a forest!  And the best part is the consistent Fall weather that lasts at least 3 months.  I'm so used to the Iowa Fall where I think "oh it's beautiful" and then BAM, it's cold...and then just stay that way.  They didn't get any snow here at all last year so we shall see how it goes this year.  I would totally be okay with that =0)

Anyway, Brian and I were supposed to go on a hiking date on Saturday but our sitter called last minute and said she was sick.  So we ended up bringing everyone to the Great Falls National Park.  First of all, I didn't even realize that we have a National Park so close.  And once we got there, I wasn't sure what to expect.  I thought that maybe we have to hike to go see this dingy, little fall.  But oh no.  It was this huge gushing fall that was absolutely breathtaking!  Chalk it up as our favorite.

I must say though in a way it's kinda nice now that Ethan's no longer napping because we don't have to worry about trying to get him home for a nap.
