It's Not About Me

Our Easter Sunday started out with a yummy egg casserole followed by an online message from our pastor back home on worship. It was uplifting as always, but then we realized how much we really miss Christian fellowship and corporate worship. It has been 3 weeks since we've gone to church and we can feel it. Not that we need to go to a church building to meet with God, but it definitely helps to truly focus on what's important. We ended up attending an evening service with Ryan, Brian's cousin and it was so refreshing! To be able to step back from the stress, fears and worries of "life" and lay them all at His feet. Just feeling God's presence through the songs and remembering the cross & resurrection. He spoke to me clearly that night: it's not about me. It's about Him! Stop feeling so ho-hum about everything and rejoice because He Is Risen!  This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. -Psalm 118:24

Side note: Was hoping to get a nice family picture but that didn't happen. Thanks Nana & Grandpa Billman for the DVD and Lola & Grandpa Barnhart for the paint & paintbrushes! I did manage to get this picture of my upcoming artist.  Look at that concentration on his face =0)
